Question about using a specific climbing hitch on a big maple removal last month

Switched from a Blake's to a Knut hitch for the final spar section and the difference in control, especially when one-handing the saw, was huge, so what's your go-to hitch for tricky technical removals?

Knut is the move for that. The way it grabs and releases under load is perfect for spar work. Lets you inch down with total control. Switched to it years ago and never looked back.

Lets you inch down with total control" - that phrase alone tells me you've had some sketchy near-misses with other knots. Because anyone who has ever had a load slip or jam knows "total control" is not something you say lightly. What kind of load are you running with it? I've seen guys swear by the Knut for lighter work but I'm still skeptical about how it holds with heavy, constantly shifting weight. Honestly, the fact you switched years ago and stuck with it makes me think there's something to it, but I need more detail before I'm sold.
