Hot take: should we rebury skeletons after studying them, or keep them on display?

I met a curator at the Cairo Museum last spring who told me her team reinterred a 2,500 year old mummy because descendants complained, but she thought that erased real history. So which wins, respect for the living or data for the future, and has anyone else hit this wall on a dig site?
