Last month at the Field Museum I got to handle a cast of the twisted plant fibers from Ohalo II, the ones from a hunter-gatherer camp by the Sea of Galilee, and the spin pattern was so regular that my 'that's just root damage' opinion died on the spot, so has anyone else flipped on a find after seeing it up close instead of in a news photo?
