This guy at a dig site in New Mexico kept calling everything 'alien tech'
I was volunteering on a survey near Taos, and we found some worked flint pieces. A volunteer next to me, this guy from out of state, picked one up and said, 'This proves it, ancient aliens gave them lasers.' He was totally serious. I tried to explain basic lithic reduction, but he just shook his head. It was a long, hot afternoon after that. Ever have someone just refuse to listen to the simple facts right in front of them?

My buddy had a guy at his site insist a broken clay pot was an alien battery.

Man, I used to laugh at stuff like that until I saw @calebrivera's post. Now I'm not so sure.

Oh come on, a clay pot is an alien battery? That's a stretch and a half. I've seen some creative interpretations at garage sales but that's next level. You find a cracked flowerpot in the dirt and suddenly it's powering a UFO? More like someone buried their grandma's old planter and forgot about it. I get that people want to believe, but sometimes a broken pot is just a broken pot.
