I finally found the 1993 zoning map my city hid, and it explains the weird gap in the sidewalks
I've been trying to figure out why three blocks of my neighborhood have no sidewalks, and last week I found a scanned 1993 zoning map buried in a county planning PDF that no search engine surfaces directly. The map showed the whole area was rezoned from residential to light industrial for 8 years, which is exactly when those lots were built. The PDF was on page 47 of a scanned packet with no title text, so I only found it by searching site:county domain plus "zoning map" and filetype:pdf. Now I'm wondering how many other local mysteries are sitting in unindexed scanned packets like this, does anyone have a good way to search those?
