Rant: A mod deleted my post for having a "junk" search string, and honestly it made my finds way better
Six months ago I dropped a 400 word post in here about finding old zoning maps. A mod shot me a message. He said my search string was junk, that any two bit crawler could find the same stuff. I got mad. Then I looked at what he meant. I had been pasting full sentences into the search bar like it was a chat bot. So I flipped the whole thing. Now I pull one weird word out of a document, drop it in quote marks, and bolt on a file type. I found a scanned 1978 flood study for a town outside Duluth that way. His profile was right and my pride was wrong. What is the strangest single word that has cracked an archive open for you?
