Found out my $12 pawn shop lockpick set was better than my $200 one

What convinced me was using it on a practice lock that'd been mocking me for weeks, and it opened in under 2 minutes. Now I keep the pawn shop set in my go bag and the $200 one sits in my drawer, honestly feels ironic. Has anyone else had a cheap tool outperform an expensive one in a weird hobby?

My $30 Harbor Freight torque wrench has outdone my fancy Snap-on one every single time, so I feel your pain. Cheap tools just hit different sometimes.

Pawn shop gear beating the fancy stuff is a classic move, man. @the_joseph knows the deal with that Harbor Freight torque wrench, it's like the universe just laughs at our wallets sometimes.
