Rant: I collect dead people's slides and half of them are labeled wrong on purpose
I've bought about 200 old slide carousels from estate sales around Cleveland and I scan every single one, and the thing nobody gets is that the handwritten dates on the cardboard mounts are often flat out lies. A lady's whole 1968 trip to Niagara Falls was labeled 1972 because she was there with a man who was not her husband, and her daughter confirmed it when I mailed her copies. People assume old family photos tell the truth because they look old, but the person holding the pen had reasons. Anyone else run into a slide box where the story on the back does not match the film stock?
