Spent 7 hours mapping every free water spigot in Omaha and most people forgot the one at the dog park
I got into this weird hobby of finding drinkable public water sources after my bike bottles kept running dry on 20 mile rides. Last month I logged 41 spots around Omaha and the biggest surprise was how many people skip the spigot behind the dog park on 84th, which runs clean all summer. I test each one with a $12 TDS meter and the dog park one reads lower than the fancy bottle filler downtown. Half the comments I get are people arguing that this is pointless because gas stations exist, but when you are 8 miles from anywhere a gas station is not gonna help you. Anyone else keep a personal map of stuff like this, or am I the only one who does this on rest days?
