I asked 40 strangers on my route one question and only 6 got it right
Last Tuesday I started asking people at random stops a simple question: how many states border the one we live in, and I kept a tally in my pocket notebook. Out of 40 people, only 6 got it right, and the most common answer was way off by like 3 or 4 states, which really surprised me since most folks seemed pretty confident. Is this just my route or are other people also bad at basic geography?
