I finally understood why my questions here were getting ignored for years
A buddy pointed out that my posts were always super vague, like 'how do I get better at stuff,' but after I switched to asking 'what's the best way to clean a clogged shower drain with a zip tie' last month, I got 12 helpful replies in a day.

Oh man, that is SO true. Specific questions get specific answers. It's like asking "how do I cook" versus "how long to bake chicken at 375." One gets you a shrug, the other gets you a timer and a temp. My brother used to ask "how do I fix my car" and we'd all ignore him. Then he sent a picture of the weird hose under the hood and we all jumped in. Details are everything.

Totally, it's like people need a real problem to solve. I used to ask for book suggestions and get nothing, but "what's a scary book about deep sea diving" got my whole feed talking. The brain just locks onto concrete details.
