My uncle swore by using a specific keyword density for my first blog post, and it got flagged as spam.

He insisted on a 2% ratio for 'best hiking boots' across 500 words, and Google's algorithm just buried it. Anyone know a better way to figure out keyword placement?

Yeah, that old density stuff will get you penalized every time lol.

Wait, they're still doing that? I thought everyone figured out the keyword stuffing thing like ten years ago. It's wild that some people are still trying to pack a page full of the same phrase over and over. Google's bots are way smarter now, they just ignore you or drop you way down in the results.

Actually, Google's bots don't just ignore it, they actively penalize for it now. The algorithm update a few years back made over-optimization a direct negative signal. It's not just about dropping down, it can get a site manually reviewed and slapped with a manual action.
