My water heater pilot light went out during a freeze in Denver, worst 2 days ever
Last January the temps dropped to like -10 and my pilot light just died. I spent a whole day watching youtube videos and trying to relight it with a long lighter, but the thermocouple was toast. Called a plumber and he charged me $280 just for the part and labor, took him about 20 minutes. Now I keep a spare thermocouple and a wrench near the unit, has anyone else dealt with a dying water heater at the worst possible time?
