That $120 bluetooth driver I bought last month was a total waste...
Picked it up off Amazon thinking it'd make my DIY projects easier, but it stripped two screws on the first job and the battery died in under an hour. Anyone else fall for those cheap tool deals that look way better in the pictures?

My brother bought one of those magnetic screwdrivers that promised to never strip a screw again. First job, it magnetized the screw to the driver so hard I couldn't get the thing off the bit without a pair of pliers. Then the battery light started blinking red after about 15 minutes of use. Had to return it and order the old school manual one I should've just bought in the first place. Sometimes I think we overcomplicate things just to feel like we're moving forward.

Gotta disagree with you here @beth_hunt, I've had the exact opposite experience with my magnetic driver. It's saved me so much time on tricky screws where my old manual one would just slip and strip the head. Maybe it's just the brand you tried, but mine holds up fine for hours and doesn't stick the screw on too tight.

150 bucks for a tool that can't even handle a basic screw removal? Sorry @beth_hunt, but I'm with xena on this one. My Dewalt magnetic driver has been running strong for two years now, never had a screw get stuck like that. You probably got a dud or just didn't know how to use it right.
