Dropped $180 on a light pollution filter and my backyard shots look the same
Bought a clip-in filter last month to shoot the Milky Way from my yard outside Cleveland, and the before and after shots are almost identical. Turns out my problem is the streetlight two houses down blasting straight into my lens, not the sky itself. A guy in my club told me to just drive 40 minutes east to a dark site instead, and that one tip did more than the filter ever did. Has anyone here actually gotten a filter to make a real difference from a city yard, or am I just burning cash?
