Just realized my dew heater failed halfway through a 4-hour exposure last night

I was trying to capture the Orion Nebula from my backyard in Portland, and the lens fogged up completely. Has anyone found a reliable brand that doesn't cut out in cold weather?

That's such a gut punch after a four hour session! My old Kendrick heater did the same thing to me during a cold snap last year. Are you using a controller with it, or is it a straight plug-in model? I wonder if the controller units are more reliable.

Honestly, that cold snap thing happened to me too, total nightmare with my old heater.
