My moon photo from 3 years ago vs last night is embarrassing

I dug up my old astrophotography shots from 2022 and compared them to one I took last night of the same phase... the difference is wild. Back then I was using a cheap tripod and a kit lens, and the image looked like a fuzzy cheese puff. Last night I used a tracking mount and a 200mm prime lens, and suddenly you can see Tycho crater and the mare ridges clearly. Has anyone else had that moment where their old photos just make them cringe?

Read an article saying the moon's actually moving away from us, which is wild to think about when you're zooming in on it.

That 200mm prime and a tracking mount will do that, I guess my old photos look like I took them through a dirty jelly jar. Moving away from us huh, at least it's not moving out of frame on my new setup.
