Showerthought: my $12 clip on phone mount got me a sharper moon shot than my tripod ever did
I stuck my phone on a cheap clip mount pressed against the window frame of my apartment in Tucson on a clear night and expected blurry garbage, but the moon came out way sharper than my old tripod shots. Turns out clipping it to the frame killed all the tiny shakes I could never fix with a 10 second timer. What random cheap trick actually beat your real gear for sky shots?
