Watching the Perseids from a church parking lot in Dripping Springs taught me to stop zooming in
I had my telescope cranked to 200x trying to get one hero shot when an old guy next to me just pointed his phone at the sky on a 10 second exposure, and his wide shot with a meteor streak and the whole Milky Way beat everything I got that night, so now I shoot wide first and crop later, has anyone else switched to phone or wide lens shots over telescope pics?
