My neighbor told me I was pressure washing my fence wrong and I'm still stewing about it

She said I was holding the nozzle at an angle that was driving water up under the boards instead of blasting the dirt off, so I tried it her way and it actually stripped the wood way faster. Has anyone else gotten unsolicited advice from a neighbor that turned out to be right despite being annoying?

Ah man, my neighbor Bob did the same thing to me last summer when I was painting my shed. He came over and told me I was using the wrong type of brush for the siding, which I thought was pretty rude honestly lol. But I tried his suggestion with a wider brush and it cut my painting time in half, the paint went on way smoother too. It stings a little when they're right but I just reminded myself that at least my shed looks good now.
