Noticed too many people using the wrong caulk around Atlanta windows
I drove by a house in Decatur last week where someone clearly used indoor silicone caulk on exterior brick windows. That stuff will crack in one summer heat cycle down here. I've been redoing window seals for 8 years at my brother's handyman business on weekends, and you gotta use a polyurethane or hybrid sealant for exterior work here. Have y'all run into this mistake around town?

Hey, isn't indoor silicone actually better for some brick applications here in the South? I've been using it on my own windows for three years in Smyrna and it's held up fine through the heat and humidity. Maybe the issue is more about prep work and application than the type of caulk itself.

Oh yeah, totally agree, prep work makes all the difference, I've had the same luck with indoor stuff on my own place too.
