Trying to decide between a tankless and a regular water heater for my 1970s Decatur ranch
My old tank heater started leaking in the garage two weeks ago, so I got quotes on both. The tankless one came in around $3,800 installed because they'd have to run new gas lines and venting, versus $1,400 for a straight swap on a 50 gallon tank. I went with the tank since the payback on tankless didn't make sense for a family of three, but now I'm second guessing it. Has anyone here made this call and regretted it either way?
