Hadn't ridden my old 400 in two years until last weekend
Took my 2001 Honda Foreman out after it sat under a tarp since summer 2022 and it fired up on the third pull. The difference in how the suspension felt versus my buddy's newer Renegade was night and day on the trail. Anybody else notice older quads feel way more rigid after a long break?}

The rigid suspension thing is just your spine reminding you that it used to be younger, right? I swear my old 400 felt like a buckboard wagon after that first ride, my lower back was filing a formal complaint the next morning. Meanwhile my buddy on his Renegade was bouncing over roots like a Gameboy on a bus ride, no pain at all. Guess that's the price of paying off a quad over a decade ago versus making payments on something with actual shock travel. But hey, at least my wallet doesn't ache like my back does.

Let the fuel lines dry out and check your carb jets, that sitting old gas can gum things up quick.
