Mud hole in Ohio swallowed my front rack and my pride
Last Sunday I was out on the Redbird trails near Linton and hit a mud hole that looked shallow, but my front tires dropped straight into a hidden rut up to the handlebars. It took me 45 minutes with a come-along and a fallen tree to drag my 700-pound machine out, and now my winch cable is frayed in three spots. Has anyone else had a hidden rut like that totally change how they scout a water crossing, or am I just the unlucky one?
