Ngl that sounds like a total nightmare. What kind of advice did they give you, like "air down to 10 psi" on a regular all-season tire? That would just leave you stuck with zero traction. Tbh I would've been tempted to just ignore them and keep my tires at normal pressure. How deep did you get stuck before you realized something was wrong?

I ran 35s on my old F150 for years and never aired down once. People act like you need to dump all your air out the second you hit a dirt road. I got stuck once in some wet clay near Moab but that was because I took a bad line, not because my tires were at 40 psi. Half the time the guys telling you to drop to 12 psi are the same ones needing a winch 50 yards later.
