Rant: I watched our trails go from smooth to washed out in 3 months

We had that big rain back in June and now every single berm is torn up, ruts everywhere. Has anyone else’s local riding spots just gone to crap this summer?

My local trails in Sedona actually held up way better after that storm, maybe it's just different soil types.

Really glad you mentioned that @wyatt_chen86 because the soil difference is huge. Here in Colorado we have those clay based soils that turn into slick slop after heavy rain, so I always plan rides for two or three days after a storm when it's had time to drain. Finding a trail with sandy or gravelly ground makes a world of difference for traction and keeping the bike clean. Those Sedona red rocks must shed water way faster than what we deal with out here.
