Took the quad up to Rattlesnake Gulch last weekend and noticed something weird

All the trail markers were spaced way farther apart than I remembered from a few years ago. Had to stop three times to check the map because the gaps were like half a mile in some spots. Has anyone else seen trail markers getting moved or spaced differently on their usual routes?

Three trips up that way in the last year and the markers seemed fine to me, maybe a little faded but not moved. Could be some trail maintenance swapped them out or the snowpack just made the gaps feel longer than they really are. Honestly sounds more like a bad memory than a conspiracy, but you do you.

Huh, that's a fair point but what if the trail markers weren't moved - what if the actual trail itself got rerouted slightly due to erosion or storm damage and nobody updated the old markers? That would explain the weird spacing without anyone messing with the posts.
