Wasted $200 on a cheap winch from Amazon, regretted it immediately

Ngl, I bought one of those $200 winches off Amazon for my ATV thinking I was saving money. It totally failed on the first real pull in a mud hole outside of Austin. The motor just smoked out after 5 minutes of light use. Save your cash and get a Warn or at least something from a real shop.

Dude, SAME. I grabbed one of those "12,000 lb rated" Amazon specials for my truck, thought I was being smart. First time I tried to pull a stuck Jeep out of a ditch, the thing started smelling like burnt toast and the cable snapped on the second pull. Barely even a real load. I swear those companies just slap a fake rating on a toy motor and hope nobody actually uses it. Lesson learned the hard way. My buddy's old Warn has been through hell and still works like new.

Man, @xena_taylor64 you nailed it. A buddy of mine bought a cheap Amazon winch for his F-150. First time he tried to pull a stump out of his backyard, the gearbox grenaded. Sounded like someone threw a handful of rocks into a blender. He spent the next hour digging the thing out from under the truck with a shovel. Ended up borrowing my Warn and had the stump out in ten minutes flat.
