Why does nobody warn you about the sand at Little Sahara eating your belt
Took my 2019 RZR to Little Sahara last Saturday for the first time and shredded a belt in 40 minutes because I was running paddles in the soft stuff without regearing, so what's the trick, clutch kit or just learn to feather it?
Did you check your clutch weights before you ran it? The 2019 RZR turbos come set up for trail riding and when you slap paddles on for the dunes the motor can't pull the gear so the belt just slips and cooks itself. A clutch kit with the right weights and a stiffer spring for sand makes a huge difference, that alone would've saved your belt last weekend. Feathering does help but it won't fix the main problem if your clutching is way off. Also make sure you break in new belts properly, run it easy for about 30 minutes before you hammer on it.
