A painter in San Antonio told me my primer was going on too dry and it changed my whole game
I had been spraying primer at about 10 inches away with the fan wide open because that's how the last guy in our shop showed me. This painter named Ruben watched me for maybe 30 seconds and said I was laying down sandpaper, not primer, because the coat was flashing before it even hit the panel. I moved in to 6 inches, slowed my pass down, and cut my sanding time on a Civic hood from 40 minutes to about 15. Still feel a little dumb about it, but has anyone else had someone call out their gun distance like that?
