Bought a cheap paint thickness gauge online and it cost me a whole day
I got a $40 digital gauge from some random website to save cash on a Honda Accord job. The numbers were all over the place, so I kept re-sanding areas I didn't need to touch. Ended up wasting about 8 hours reworking the whole passenger door before I borrowed a mate's proper tool and saw the real readings. Has anyone found a decent budget gauge that actually works, or is it just worth paying for the good stuff?
