Caught a weird reaction between new clear coat and old filler

Sprayed a job yesterday and the clear started bubbling over the repaired spots. Turns out the filler wasn't fully cured even though it felt dry. Now I have to redo the whole panel. Let your fillers sit longer than you think, especially in humid weather.

Varnished a table too soon once, and it never set right.

How soon did you varnish it? Right after staining? The wood has to be bone dry, or the finish will never harden. It stays sticky for years, a total waste of time. You basically ruined the table.
