Cheap booth filter almost cost me a respray plus a deadline
Last month I had a job in the booth, a pearl white SUV that was already a headache. I had the option to swap in a cheaper aftermarket intake filter for $80 or stick with the OEM one for $220. Picked the cheap one to save cash, and by the third panel I saw dust specs everywhere. The whole paint job got contaminated, took me 6 hours to sand and redo the clear coat. That $140 savings turned into a $600 loss when you count material and my Saturday. Has anyone else tried the cheaper filters and messed up a paint job?
