Just changed my mind about clear coats after a shop in Denver

Last week I stripped a 2019 Silverado that had water spots baked in, and I swore it was a bad batch from the paint supplier. Then the owner told me it sat outside for a month with no wax after a cheap respray, and that got me thinking about how much heat and sun exposure really do to the top layer. Do you guys tell customers to ceramic coat or at least seal within a week, or am I just overthinking this?
