My old boss swore by 80 grit on plastic bumpers, and I finally tried it on a 2018 Civic last month
I thought he was crazy for 6 years until that bumper sanded in half the time and the primer laid down smoother, so now I'm wondering if anyone else skips the 180 and goes straight to 80 on flexible panels or if I just got lucky.

Same thing happens with cast iron, less scrubbing wins.
