My spray gun clogged on the last coat of a metallic silver job on a 2019 Civic
I was finishing a full respray on a 2019 Civic last Thursday when my spray gun clogged halfway through the final metallic coat, leaving me with a blotchy mess on the passenger door. I ended up flushing the gun with thinner, switching to a backup nozzle, and redoing the whole panel, which ate up 3 extra hours I did not have. Has this happened to anyone else mid-job, and do you keep a spare gun ready just in case?
Oh man I feel this so hard, happened to me on a pearl white bumper last summer and I wanted to cry. Now I keep a cheap backup gun loaded and ready plus spare nozzles in a little box, saves my sanity. Three extra hours on a metallic respray is brutal, you have way more patience than me!
