Rant: The time I had to pull a whole fender off because of a hidden magnet
I was doing a repair on a 2015 Civic in my bay last Tuesday, blending some paint on the rear quarter. I grabbed my magnetic fender cover to protect the area, but it was a cheap one I got online. The magnet was way too strong and it pulled the whole fender edge right off the clips when I went to move it. I just stood there for a second looking at this fender hanging by one bolt. Had to take the whole thing off to re-clip it, which added like an hour to the job. Anyone else ever have a tool or cover just ruin your whole flow like that?

Man, I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen with a magnetic work light I stuck on a Chevy truck hood. That thing yanked so hard it popped the hood loose from two hinges and I spent the next half hour crawling around trying to get it back on straight. Sometimes the cheap stuff just makes life harder than it needs to be.
