The heat gun trick for old trim clips I wish I knew 20 years back
Tbh, I spent too many afternoons cursing at broken plastic clips on 90s Hondas in my shop near Tacoma. Last week, I tried warming the clip and surrounding panel with a heat gun for about 45 seconds before prying, and they popped out clean without snapping. It cut my trim removal time on an old Accord from 2 hours down to 40 minutes. Ngl, I used to just yank and replace clips every time, but now I keep the gun set on low and move it in circles. Anyone else got tricks for aging plastic that don't involve buying new trim pieces every job?
