Threw $150 at a used spot welder on Craigslist. Dumbest move ever.
Guy said it worked perfect for panel repairs. Got it home and it sparks like a firework show with zero weld penetration. Anybody got tips on repairing these old units or should I just eat the loss?

Honestly, used to think $150 was wild too but after seeing the spark show up close I get it now.
