Ruined a brand new microfiber towel on my Civic's hood at a car wash in Mesa
So I was at one of those DIY spray bays off Broadway in Mesa washing my Civic, and I dropped my good drying towel right on the concrete. I picked it up and figured a quick rinse would save it, but I dragged that grit straight across my hood and left about four swirl scratches, each maybe six inches long. I stood there for a second just staring at them under the lot lights. What I did was grab my polish and a fresh foam pad that same evening, worked each scratch with light passes, and after two rounds they were basically gone except one I can still catch at the right angle. Now I keep a clean towel folded on the passenger seat and never set anything down on the ground. Has anyone found a grit guard setup that actually keeps dropped towels safe, or do you just toss them once they hit pavement?
