Took my car to a judged show in Dayton and got knocked down a full point for my wheel wells
I thought I had the car dialed in before the show last Saturday, but a judge in Dayton pulled me aside and told me my wheel wells looked like they'd never seen a brush. He said it plain: "You can have perfect paint and still lose if the wells are caked." That stung, but he was right, so I went home and pulled all four wheels off the next morning. Took me about two hours with a wheel woolie, some all purpose cleaner, and a cheap sponge, and the gunk that came out of there was honestly gross. I've done it twice since, once before the show and once after a rainy drive, and the difference in how the car sits is real. Curious if you all pull wheels for a full clean or just reach in with a brush.
