Unpopular opinion: you do not need a foam cannon to wash your car right
Everyone on here acts like a foam cannon is step one, but I washed my black Civic for two weeks with just a bucket, some car soap, and a soft mitt, and the paint came out just as clean with zero new swirls. The foam is fun to watch run down the panels, but it does not lift dirt any better than a good two bucket wash, it just sits there looking cool. What actually got the bugs and road film off for me was a pre soak and a rinse, so what is the real reason people swear the cannon is a must have?
