Appreciation post: I just hit 10,000 miles on my rebuilt transmission
I put that 4L60E in a customer's Silverado about two years ago, and they just came in for an oil change. Seeing that odometer number felt better than getting paid. I was sure a seal or a solenoid would have given up by now. Anyone else get a weird sense of pride when a repair you doubted actually holds up?

Forget the transmission, think about the trust you built. That customer drove 10,000 miles without a second thought because you did the job right. Makes you wonder how many other shops they passed by to come back to you. That kind of repeat business is the real trophy, isn't it?

Exactly. That trust is what keeps the lights on. But how do you even measure it? Like, do you track how many customers come back after a big repair versus just an oil change? I've seen shops fall apart because they only cared about the quick sale, not the long haul.
