Buddy killed his engine with a bad online fix. I sorted it out. Skip the DIY shortcuts on important parts.

My brother saved like 300 bucks on a coolant sensor fix by following a legit forum guide last month. The problem isn't always the DIY, it's picking the wrong source for the info. Some of those youtube videos or forum posts are made by guys who actually know their stuff. You just gotta be real careful about which ones you trust, lol.

Man, that's the whole internet now, isn't it? It's not just car repair, it's everything from fixing a sink to cooking a steak. You have a million voices shouting how to do something, but only a handful actually know. The real skill today isn't just doing the task, it's sorting the actual experts from the loud amateurs before you even start. Makes you miss when good info was harder to find but more reliable once you got it.

Watch a guy with zero experience talk you through an engine fix and you'll end up with a bricked engine. Guess the diagnostic dance he did before filming wasn't included in the tutorial.
