Chat with a young diesel tech got me rethinking my approach

Kid fresh out of school told me he triple-checks every torque spec with the manual instead of going off memory like I do. Made me realize I've been skipping that step for years and got lucky a few times. Anyone else ever get humbled by an apprentice?

Buddy of mine had a kid show him a faster way to bleed brakes he'd been doing wrong for 20 years.

Wait, @garcia.charles, you mean that kid was right and your buddy had been wasting his time for TWO DECADES?
