I finally stopped using my old trick for stuck caliper bolts after a customer called me out

A regular at my shop in Milwaukee watched me use a 3-foot breaker bar on a seized bolt and said, 'You know, you're just gonna shear it and make my day worse, right?' (he was right, I had done that before). I switched to a proper induction heater I borrowed from the shop next door, and it came off smooth in about 90 seconds. What's your go-to method for frozen hardware that doesn't involve just more muscle?

Oh, the old "brute force and ignorance" method. Been there, learned that lesson the expensive way too.

Yeah, expensive lessons stick with you. I started sketching out the problem on paper first and it saved me a ton of time.
