I was at the salvage yard in Bakersfield yesterday and saw a 2020 Civic with the entire front end perfectly cut out for parts. Changed how I think about major repairs.

Man, that reminds me of seeing a car sliced clean in half once.

Wasn't there that video going around of a train hitting a car and it just sheared the whole back off like a hot knife through butter? I saw one where the front half of the sedan was just sitting there on the tracks, perfectly cut, and the rest was gone. Makes you realize how much energy is in a moving train. Makes a regular crash look like a fender bender.
