Rant: Why did nobody tell me about vacuum bleeder kits sooner
I used to bleed brakes the old way for like 15 years. Pump and hold, pump and hold, swearing every time I got air in the line. Buddy at the shop last month finally made me try his Motive vacuum bleeder on a 2014 F-150. Did the whole job in 20 minutes with zero mess. Why do we still teach the old method when these things cost like 60 bucks at Harbor Freight? Anyone else switch and feel like you wasted years of your life?

@noah135 knows what's up. Reminds me of when I tried using a cordless impact on lug nuts for the first time and realized I'd been cranking on a breaker bar for no reason for years. Sometimes you just have to wonder why we keep doing things the hard way.

Man thats exactly how I felt when I finally tried one. I was doing brake jobs on my old Tacoma for like 8 years the old way and it drove me nuts every single time. The vacuum bleeder changed everything for me too. I don't know why shops and manuals still push the pump and hold method when this thing makes it so easy and clean. Its one of those tools where you wonder why you didn't buy it sooner. Seriously, I could have saved myself so much frustration and brake fluid stained clothes.
