Shoutout to the old guy who taught me how to set points on a '78 Chevy

I had to do it for a customer's restoration project last week, and it took me back to my first shop job in '99 where my boss showed me the feeler gauge trick. Anyone still keeping that skill alive for the classic car crowd?

Actually, a lot of those late 70s Chevys had already switched to electronic ignition. My neighbor's 78 pickup has an HEI distributor, no points at all. You just set the timing with a light. Some earlier models in that year might still have points, but it wasn't the standard anymore by then.
