That seized caliper pin made me buy a $15 heat gun, no regrets

Spent 2 hours wrestling a rusted slide pin on a 2012 F150 in Phoenix last month, then a buddy said to hit the bracket with a heat gun for 90 seconds and it popped right out. Has anyone else had better luck with heat versus penetrating oil on brake hardware?

Used to swear by PB Blaster for everything, figured heat was just for exhaust bolts and stuff. But after watching that pin slide out clean with 90 seconds of heat, I grabbed a cheap gun too and now it's the first thing I grab. Still keep the oil around, but heat just saves me so much time on rusty brake parts.
